Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: September 4, 2026

Welcome to Moving Force. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MovingForce.us, including our website, online quotation tools, booking features, moving services, and related communications.

By accessing our website, requesting a quote, booking a service, or otherwise using Moving Force, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. About Moving Force

Moving Force provides moving-related services, including full-service moving, loading, unloading, packing, local moving, long-distance moving, residential moving, commercial moving, furniture moving, apartment moving, office moving, and moving labor.

Service availability may vary based on location, moving date, job requirements, crew availability, distance, and other factors.

Our primary service area includes Utica, New York and surrounding areas, with other moving services or destinations available depending on the specific move.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to book Moving Force services.

If you make a booking on behalf of another person, household, company, or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

3. Moving Quotes

Customers may request a moving quote through the quotation form on MovingForce.us or by contacting Moving Force directly.

To provide an appropriate quote, we may ask for information including:

  • Pickup and destination addresses
  • Moving date and preferred time
  • Property or home size
  • Type of moving service
  • Number or type of items being moved
  • Stairs, elevators, parking, or access conditions
  • Heavy, oversized, fragile, or specialty items
  • Packing requirements
  • Other information relevant to the move

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate information.

Quote Accuracy

Quotes are based on the information available when they are prepared.

The final price may change if the actual job differs materially from the information provided, including changes to:

  • Inventory
  • Number or size of items
  • Moving distance
  • Pickup or delivery location
  • Stairs or elevators
  • Walking distance
  • Access conditions
  • Packing requirements
  • Additional stops
  • Waiting time
  • Labor requirements
  • Services requested
  • Moving date or schedule

Any applicable pricing terms should be reviewed before confirming a booking.

4. Booking and Confirmation

Submitting a quotation form does not automatically confirm a booking.

A move is considered booked only after Moving Force confirms the service and any required booking conditions have been completed.

Depending on the job, confirmation may require:

  • Acceptance of the quote
  • Confirmation of the moving date and time
  • Customer contact information
  • Payment or deposit
  • Additional move details
  • Acceptance of applicable service terms

Customers should not assume a moving crew has been reserved until they receive confirmation from Moving Force.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information and preparing appropriately for moving day.

Unless otherwise agreed, customers should:

  • Provide accurate pickup and destination information
  • Make sure movers can access the property
  • Arrange required parking permissions
  • Reserve elevators where necessary
  • Inform Moving Force about stairs or difficult access
  • Identify heavy, oversized, fragile, or valuable items in advance
  • Secure personal documents and valuables
  • Properly pack items unless packing services have been booked
  • Be available or appoint an authorized representative during the move
  • Make sure the property is safe for the moving crew
  • Notify Moving Force promptly of material changes to the move

Failure to disclose information that materially affects the job may result in delays, additional charges, or changes to the service.

6. Items We May Not Transport

Moving Force may refuse to transport items that are illegal, unsafe, hazardous, prohibited, or unsuitable for ordinary moving services.

These may include, depending on applicable laws and service conditions:

  • Illegal substances or property
  • Explosives
  • Flammable materials
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Certain fuels or pressurized containers
  • Weapons or ammunition where transportation is not permitted
  • Perishable goods unsuitable for transportation
  • Live animals
  • Unsecured valuables
  • Items that present an unreasonable safety risk

Customers should disclose unusual or potentially hazardous items before moving day.

If you are unsure whether an item can be transported, contact Moving Force before your scheduled move.

7. High-Value and Fragile Items

Customers should notify Moving Force in advance about unusually valuable, delicate, antique, fragile, or specialty items.

Examples may include:

  • Artwork
  • Antiques
  • Collectibles
  • Jewelry
  • High-value electronics
  • Pianos
  • Safes
  • Specialty furniture
  • Sensitive equipment

Additional preparation, equipment, labor, or terms may be required.

Customers should personally transport cash, passports, financial documents, jewelry, medications, and other irreplaceable personal items whenever practical.

8. Moving Dates and Arrival Times

Moving Force will make reasonable efforts to provide services according to confirmed schedules.

However, moving and transportation services can be affected by circumstances outside reasonable control, including:

  • Traffic
  • Weather
  • Road closures
  • Vehicle problems
  • Previous jobs taking longer than expected
  • Building access restrictions
  • Emergencies
  • Government restrictions
  • Other unexpected conditions

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, estimated arrival or completion times should not be treated as guarantees.

If a significant scheduling issue occurs, Moving Force will make reasonable efforts to communicate with the customer.

9. Changes to Your Move

Please contact Moving Force as soon as possible if you need to change:

  • Moving date
  • Moving time
  • Pickup location
  • Destination
  • Service type
  • Inventory
  • Property size
  • Number of stops
  • Packing requirements
  • Other material job details

Changes are subject to availability and may affect the price.

10. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellation, rescheduling, deposit, and refund terms may depend on the specific booking and services purchased.

Any cancellation or rescheduling requirements communicated during the booking process will form part of your service agreement.

Customers should contact Moving Force as early as possible when a booking needs to be changed or canceled.

If a specific cancellation fee, notice period, deposit policy, or refund policy applies, it should be disclosed before or at the time of booking.

11. Payments

Customers agree to pay all charges associated with confirmed services according to the pricing and payment terms provided for their booking.

Depending on the service, Moving Force may require:

  • A deposit
  • Advance payment
  • Payment on moving day
  • Payment after completion
  • Another agreed payment arrangement

Applicable taxes, additional labor, additional services, waiting time, extra stops, or other charges may apply where disclosed and appropriate.

Customers are responsible for providing valid payment information when payment is required.

12. Loading and Unloading Services

Customers booking Load Only or Unload Only services are generally responsible for arranging the transportation vehicle, rental truck, trailer, storage container, or other transportation unless otherwise agreed.

For load-only services, Moving Force may assist with positioning and securing items, but the customer remains responsible for making sure their transportation arrangement is suitable for the move.

For unload-only services, customers should make sure the vehicle or container is accessible when the crew arrives.

13. Packing Services

When packing services are booked, Moving Force may assist with wrapping, boxing, organizing, and preparing belongings for transportation according to the agreed service.

Customers should identify fragile, valuable, hazardous, or unusually sensitive items before packing begins.

Packing materials or specialty supplies may result in additional charges if they are not included in the original quote.

14. Property Access and Safety

Customers must provide reasonably safe and lawful access to the pickup and destination locations.

Moving Force may pause or refuse work if conditions create an unreasonable risk to customers, movers, property, vehicles, or other persons.

This may include unsafe stairs, dangerous structures, aggressive animals, hazardous materials, severe weather conditions, or other unsafe circumstances.

15. Damage, Loss, and Claims

Moving services naturally involve handling and transportation of personal property. Moving Force takes reasonable care when performing moving services.

If you believe an item has been lost or damaged, contact Moving Force promptly with:

  • Your name and booking information
  • Description of the affected item
  • Description of the damage or loss
  • Relevant photographs
  • Supporting documentation where available

Any liability for loss or damage will be subject to applicable law, applicable transportation regulations, agreed valuation or coverage terms, and the specific circumstances of the move.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.

16. Third-Party Services

Moving Force may use third-party providers, technology services, payment processors, contractors, moving professionals, or other service providers in connection with website operation or moving services.

Third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Where another moving carrier or provider is involved in a move, additional terms may apply and will be communicated where appropriate.

Service descriptions, availability, pricing, service areas, and other information may change.

Information provided on the website does not override the specific terms of a confirmed booking or service agreement.

20. No Guarantee of Availability

Submitting a quote request does not guarantee that Moving Force will be able to accept a particular job.

Availability may depend on:

  • Location
  • Date and time
  • Crew availability
  • Move size
  • Distance
  • Equipment requirements
  • Service type
  • Other operational factors

Moving Force reserves the right to decline a service request where reasonably necessary.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Moving Force will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or services.

Any limitation of liability applicable to a specific moving service remains subject to applicable federal and state laws and any mandatory consumer or transportation protections.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by law.

22. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Moving Force harmless from claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your unlawful use of the website
  • Materially false information you provide
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of another person’s rights

This provision does not apply where a claim results from Moving Force’s own conduct to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.

We recommend reviewing the Privacy Policy before submitting a quotation or booking request.

These communications may include email, telephone calls, or text messages where appropriate and permitted by law.

Marketing communications will be handled according to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.

25. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by applicable laws of the United States and, where applicable, the laws of the State of New York, without limiting any consumer rights that apply under other mandatory laws.

Any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any additional dispute terms agreed as part of a specific moving-service contract.

26. Changes to These Terms

Moving Force may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, website, business practices, or legal requirements.

When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.

Your continued use of the website following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

27. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

28. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any quote, booking confirmation, service agreement, or other terms specifically provided for your move, constitute the applicable agreement between you and Moving Force regarding your use of the website and services.

Where a specific signed service agreement conflicts with these general website Terms, the specific service agreement will control to the extent of that conflict.
